About me
Since July 2017, I am a machine learning scientist at Amazon, Berlin. I am currently working on Hyperparameter Optmization and AutoML, which are the techniques powering AWS SageMaker Automatic Model Tuning and AutoPilot.
Before Amazon, I did my PhD at Aalto Univerisity, advised by Prof. Juho Rousu. We developed a series of work on machine learning methods for small molecule identification and our method (Team Brouard) won the CASMI challenge 2016 (Category 2). My PhD thesis also won the best Finnish bioinformatics PhD thesis done in 2016-2017.
